also pretty cool track overall, i dig the vibe.

its pretty good, but it feels a little empty. i feel like it wouldve benefitted from having the beat start earlier and having amore rich climax with maybe some longer notes in the background, to shape a more solid ground for the line you had going, if that makes sense. and then a bass of some kind. and upright bass or something similar.
while at the same time i dont really know much about this style of music so i might just be misunderstanding the point-
none the less it still feels a little empty.

you're absolutely right

a bass would have been nice, and I tried adding some sparse percussion to the first half, but they ended up obscuring the vibes a bit too much for my liking, so I took them out

the problem I think is that the vibes themselves are quite weak sounding, so they can't really compete with any additional instruments unless they are really subtle as well, which is certainly a limitation of this piece

good review, and your own productions sound very nice!

i really like your melody, but the track seems incomplete. you need a baseline to go with it and some better mixing. with some more time put into this it could become really really good.

love that 8bit lead thing you have here and there

also love the rest, the title just could hold it all. lol.

the segment that starts at 2:18 may need some deeper bass, i feel that often matches that style well.

personally i would also put more power in the kick since i feel its overpowered by the rest here and there. but maybe that just me, i do like my kicks deep and juicy :3

i don't really think thats too much going on for the first time listener. it seems nicely balanced.

over all nice but i didn't feel the climax as loud and powerfull as i like them best. though thats all my personal preferences.

I didn't want to go for the obvious side chained bass, so it's a bit empty yes. I tried to compensate that with the quite big amount of synths (there are also 3 bass synths).

Since there are no instruments that are very strong side chained, I thought, it was not necessary to make a fat kick, which puches the bass even more away.

this track carries the same magic as some of your other tracks. but expresses it so much better.. theres a reason piano is one of my all time fave instruments a. especially if its you handling it xD. i cant add anything or give constructive advices.. but i can say that the writers block was worth it if this was the result. im jealous.. you know how to read and write sheet paper and you can play the piano.. i can do neither lol.. i want to but i dont really have what it takes to learn it...

also please have a listen to the newest of my tracks.. even though its not here on newgrounds i have it on my main page as a youtube video.. it would be mutch apreciated if you would give it a listen. however it isnt uploaded on my own channel. it will make more sence if it interests you enough to look into it lol

if you added some more pads n stuff.. and maybe some more advanced drums or something along those lines... this could be very nice... i love the original and i think this remix could be almost as epic..

if you get some new synths and lern more aobut masterings plus maybe a little more experience then this will become pretty good. you got nice themes and it all fits nicely together. the things you got right are the things i find hardest so thumbs up
